The countdown is on as Hampton by Hilton’s largest hotel to date is preparing to open at London Stansted Airport hotel at the end of the month.
The stylish hotel will boast 357 rooms set over seven floors, many with spectacular runway views. It will provide a fun and relaxed atmosphere for guests to kick back and relax during their stay ahead of their flights.
A new twelve-strong management team has been brought on to open and run the new hotel, led by General Manager Paolo Franchi. He commented: “It’s been an incredibly exciting few weeks as we make the finishing touches to the world’s largest Hampton by Hilton hotel. Whether embarking on a family holiday, business trip or exploring everything that London has to offer, we look forward to welcoming our first guests in a couple of weeks’ time.”
Paolo has worked in the hospitality industry since he was 15 and has been with Hilton since 2014. Most recently, he acted as the General Manager of Hampton by Hilton Newcastle after two years at Ailantus Hotels, where his role involved managing the opening of both sites. His extensive portfolio has armed him with the knowledge and expertise needed to launch and manage a busy hotel.
Paolo’s team will include Deputy General Manager Lina Savickaite, Director of Sales Jack Hollis, Reservations Manager Chloe Holmes, Food and Beverage Manager Adam Burrell and Maintenance Manager Luke O’Leary. The full team has more than 80 years’ experience between them.
Hilton Honors guests will each be offered the hotel’s new ‘straight to room’ Digital Key technology. Digital Key provides guests with a secure way to access rooms. Activated the day before arrival, Hilton Honors members who book directly with Hilton can select their desired room on their smartphone using digital check-in. On the day of arrival and once their room is ready, guests will receive a notification via the app and will need to pass by the front desk to get their Digital Key enabled before heading to their room. When the guest approaches their hotel room, they can simply press the virtual “unlock” button on the app to unlock the door.
Hampton by Hilton London Stansted Airport is a two-minute walk from the airport’s main terminal, reached via a covered walkway.
