NatWest has appointed Abe Tilling as Managing Director Corporate and Commercial Banking, Midlands and East of England.
In his role he will lead a team of Corporate and Commercial Banking specialists in their delivery of bespoke, relationship-led banking services, supporting a range of SME and corporate clients based in local centres across the region and the UK.
Abe has been working for NatWest and its sister bank the Royal Bank of Scotland for 30 years in a variety of roles across Personal, Busines and Corporate Banking. He began his career in industrial West Yorkshire followed by work in the Dales, West Country, South of England and London before undertaking a number of national roles.
Additionally he has led on a range of strategic programmes for the bank with Oliver Wyman, PWC, McKinsey and Co, and Bain & Co as well as others. His work also includes support for early stage FinTech developments. Abe has taken part in the bank’s Sponsored Exec study programmes at MIT in Boston, Massachusetts, USA and INSEAD, in Fontainebleau, France.
Abe replaces Andrew Harrison who has served in the role for more than five years and has moved into another role within the bank.
Outside of work, Abe is father-of-three and a keen mountain biker.
