Contech makes debut in Sunday Times Top 200

Engineering, design and recruitment firm Contechs is officially one of Britain’s fastest growing firms after securing a top spot in the Sunday Times league table.

The award-winning business has clinched 30th place in the eighth annual Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200, which was published at the weekend.

The league table, which ranks the country’s mid-market businesses with the fastest-growing international sales, is compiled by Fast Track and announced each June in the business section of the popular publication.

Contechs, which has its offices in Basildon, Warwick and Cologne, secured its place for the first time in its 20-year history after enjoying two years of phenomenal growth.

In less than 24 months, the workforces in Basildon and Warwick offices has more than doubled and further expanding its facilities by over 46,000 square feet, after bosses announced a third investment in just over 12 months.

The firm, which also operates at sites in Slovakia and India, has secured a number of high value contract wins with prestigious OEMs and first tier suppliers during the past two years.

Contechs’ rapid growth has been attributed to the hard work and dedication of its workforce, with bosses saying the league table represents another major milestone for the business, further cementing its market leading position and reputation within the industry.

Peter Jarvis, Managing Director of Contechs, said: “We are thrilled to feature in the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 for the first time and it is especially exciting for all of us as 2017 marks our 20th anniversary.

“We are incredibly proud to be the 30th fastest growing business in Britain and it’s a testament to the amazing team we have here at Contechs.”

Contechs’ list of clients features some of Europe’s largest and most prestigious vehicle manufacturers, encompassing high volume carmakers, performance specialists and first tier suppliers.

Mr Jarvis added: “This has been a truly fantastic two years for us at Contechs.
