East Midlands transport businesses are being invited to learn more about combating fuel price fluctuations from one of Yorkshire Bank’s most senior figures.
The event is among a number taking place across the Midlands as part of Yorkshire Bank’s Business Week.
The presentation, which is being co-hosted by accountancy firm Grant Thornton, is being held at the Kettering Park Hotel in Northamptonshire on Thursday 7th November. The main speaker will be Mark Coulam, Senior Manager in Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks’ Treasury Solutions department.
The event will examine how transport and other businesses exposed to fuel price fluctuations can protect themselves from day-to-day changes and create some certainty around one of their major cost elements.
Business Week is running from 4th – 8th November at the Banks’ network of 44 Business and Private Banking Centres across the UK with more than 200 free events for local companies, including more than 30 in the Midlands area.
As growth and confidence begin to emerge in the UK economy, Business Week aims to help businesses take advantage and build for the future. The week includes sessions offering business and financial advice, networking opportunities, and discussions on key issues affecting local areas and industry sectors.
Brian Colquhoun, Regional Director for Yorkshire Bank in the Midlands, said:
“Business Week will see businesses from across the Midlands come together to learn from each other and discuss the issues which are affecting, them and our economy.
“Many Midlands businesses will be looking at the economy with renewed confidence and we are here to support them; not just financially but by putting them in touch with the right people and the right opportunities at a time which is best for them.”
