East of England-based chartered accountants Moore Thompson have welcomed their local MP to their offices as part of an initiative organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
John Hayes, the Conservative MP for South Holland and The Deepings, visited the firm’s Spalding office on Friday, 16 May.
The aim of the ICAEW initiative is to encourage member firms to open up a dialogue with their local MPs on business and economic issues in their areas.
Mark Hildred, Managing Partner at Moore Thompson which also has offices in Wisbech and Market Deeping, said: “As a firm that works closely with businesses across Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire, we have a finger on the pulse of the local economy.
“As such, we were delighted to welcome Mr Hayes to our offices to talk about business-related issues, and the way that government policies are working at grass roots level.
“We hope that the meeting provided as much value to Mr Hayes as it did to the firm, and look forward to engaging with him in an ongoing ‘conversation’ about the local economy.”
