Norwich software developer launches exciting new careers app for young people in the region

Website and software developer Innershed, Norwich, UK, has worked with The Mason Trust to redesign the icanbea.org.uk website to support some exciting new features and developed a Mobile App for both IOS and Android.

Designed for teenagers and young adults the improved www.icanbea.org.uk delivers a faster more user-friendly experience and features a bold new design which cleverly eliminates unnecessary text clutter making searching for a career easy and fun.

New features and improved design elements include an interactive careers wizard designed to match skills and interests against job roles, easier navigation, cleaner text, sharp images and icons to aid storytelling, secure login area, an interactive map, detailed industry explanation and salary expectations to aid user career progression.

“We are delighted with the redesigned icanbea… website and new App and hope this will allow our young people to have easier access to some of the amazing opportunities offered by industries in this region. We currently have students from over 100 local schools using the website and expect this to increase over the coming months” said Yvonne Mason, Chair of Trustees.

The new App delivers push notifications of new job opportunities from organisations, sectors and industries that match users interests direct to their phone or tablet.

“Having the opportunity to work with The Mason Trust on this project has been brilliant. Our objective was to update the design and create an easy to use and understand platform that young people will enjoy which is why we introduced gamification to enhance the experience. Additionally, being part of something that helps young people to grow and succeed is awesome.” said Innershed CEO, Ross Clabburn.
