Royal Bank of Scotland support husband and wife to acquire their first dental clinic

Husband and wife team, Riaz and Puja Hassan, have secured the ownership of Leagrave Dental Sedation Clinic in Luton in a significant funding deal supported by Royal Bank of Scotland.

Riaz and Puja have been practising at the surgery for the past 8 years before deciding to take on the full ownership, freehold and goodwill following the sudden death of the previous owner, Michael Wood.

This four surgery clinic based on Dunstable Road has been established for over 15 years and provides general dentistry as well as specialist oral surgery, specialist root canal treatments and gum treatments; implants, cosmetic surgery and sedation, something the clinic holds a credible reputation for. Riaz and Puja fully intend to grow the clinic over the coming months with the introduction of botox and facial aesthetics as well as recruiting two new associates to join the team of dental nurses, hygienists and receptionists.

Riaz Hassan, co-owner of Leagrave Dental Sedation Clinic explains: “It is under sad circumstances that we announce our ownership but we are confident we will continue the legacy in memory of Michael who was well respected locally and in his field.

“Leagrave clinic offers much more than dentistry and we are looking to grow the cosmetic side early in the New Year. As we are familiar faces at the clinic, we are confident our patients will approve of our takeover, short term plans and consistency our ownership will provide.”

Paul Andrews, Senior Relationship Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “Riaz and Puja have so much to offer Leagrave Clinic given their years of experience here and ability to keep this clinic at the forefront of modern dentistry. It is always rewarding when you help new customers achieve their ambition of taking on the full ownership and we wish them all the very best.”
