The Sharnbrook Hotel will complete the expansion over two phases. The increased room capacity and a greater offer of services to guests will support the business to achieve its goal to increase profit by 33 per cent.

The first phase, completed last month, saw 12 new guestrooms and a lounge area for the hotel’s function bar open. The second phase, which is well underway, will add a further seven guestrooms, a private restaurant room, a lounge area to the restaurant bar, a conference suite, additional car parking and hair & beauty salon. The entire project will be complete by the summer, opening by 1 June, whilst the salon will open 1 September 2016.

The family- run business will be recruiting an additional 10 members of staff in the next year to support the increased capacity, including three senior management posts, to manage its extended services.

Ciro Ciampi, General Manager of The Sharnbrook Hotel, said: “HSBC’s support has enabled us to extend our purpose-built property, marking the start of an exciting new stage in the growth of our business. We’re now able to offer guests a wider variety of services and facilities as well as increase the number of guests we can accommodate.”

Andrew Franklin, Area Director for Business Banking in Northamptonshire & Milton Keynes, said: “We are committed to helping British businesses realise their growth ambitions. Established almost a decade ago, The Sharnbrook Hotel is a dynamic local business that has continued to grow steadily. This recent finance package has enabled them to increase its capacity, provide new facilities for customers and create new jobs in the local area.”
