Two prestigious certifications for East of England Technology Company

CoderusTeam[1]Two prestigious certifications put Coderus in the top 5% of software development companies in the UK.

Ipswich and Cambridge-based mobile application and software development company, Coderus Limited have become a Microsoft Silver Application Development Certified Partner and been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001 certification.

The two awards are a great achievement for the application and software development company. The Microsoft Silver certification puts Coderus in the top 5% of software development companies in the UK, and the ISO certification aligns the company to globally recognised and respected standards for quality and control.

Coderus started a 6-month process in December 2015 to achieve the 2015 edition of the ISO 9001 certification. ISO 9001:2015 is latest edition, which features more flexible and pragmatic approach to certification, especially for service and knowledge based organisations.

The decision to go for the highly sought after certification was a clear indication of the companies philosophy to continue to push the boundaries by adopting globally recognised and respected practices, while complementing their own.

Gaining an ISO 9001 certification, Coderus had to demonstrate effective and firmly established management systems, culture and control to successfully deliver complex and multi-faceted software development projects to the highest possible standards. Coderus successfully presented to the auditors from IMS International a modern and innovative business that adopts agile testing and development techniques for mobile app development and embedded technologies.

The ISO 9001 accreditation is an enabler for Coderus to continue to grow their global client base further, joining 1.1 million certified companies, working to the highest levels of consistency, reliability and quality.

Mark Thomas of Coderus said: “We’re delighted to have received the ISO 9001 certification. A lot of work goes into gaining the certification, which is then reviewed by regular audits both internally and externally. The external auditor was very impressed with the quality of our work across all of Coderus’ services and advised us to go straight to stage two of gaining the certification.”

Andrew Mills, founder of ISO consultancy company Applied Risk Management Ltd, consultant to Coderus commented:  “It was a pleasure to work with the team at Coderus; the directors embraced the challenges and recognised the benefits of the ISO certification. The company already had very high standards and a culture for quality and control that perfectly complemented the assessment process.”

Leading up to the ISO certification, Coderus were awarded Microsoft Silver Accreditation to recognise competency for application development.

The first part of the Silver certification journey began in 2015, and March 2016 with two of Coderus’ experienced developers passing their Microsoft certification programming exams, becoming verified Microsoft Development specialists. In addition to having two specialists, Coderus received sterling reviews from some of its partners, earning the company the Silver competency certificate for application development.

Mark Thomas of Coderus said: “One of our goals has always been to deliver solutions beyond expectations – we not only want to deliver solutions, but we also want to be absolutely fit for purpose. The Silver certification demonstrates we have the ability to do this.

Phil Sorgen, Corporate Vice President of the Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft, said: “By achieving a Silver competency, organisations have proven their expertise in specific technology areas, placing them among the top five per cent of Microsoft partners worldwide.”

With an enviable reputation for high-quality mobile application development and embedded software development, Coderus delivers custom solutions to clients ranging from small businesses to major blue chip organisations, both in the UK and internationally.

Coderus are always keen to be seen to be raising the bar. They have previously co-hosted successful developer events, and earlier in the year Coderus co-hosted a Microsoft Build 2016 and Google I/O event at Adastral Park, which attracted representatives from major Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Digital companies across the East of England, along with software developers and those with a keen interest in Microsoft and Google technology.

The two awards follow Coderus being awarded App Developer Specialist for Europe, in May 2015 by Microchip, as part of their Design Partner Program a unique achievement. Furthering the team’s experience and knowledge is at the forefront of Coderus’ approach, with the developers now setting their sights on the “Universal Windows Platform – App Architecture and UX/UI” exam and acquiring the Microsoft Gold certification.
